A Life of Faith

Hello! I am Leona Klassen. At Hope Grows Homestead, I share the joys and trials of farm life in Saskatchewan. My Christian faith guides me as I navigate this beautiful journey.

I have lived in a rural community in Central Saskatchewan with my husband Ken. We homeschooled our four children and currently live near our three grandchildren. In 2024 Ken passed from cancer. At the time of his passing we had been married 34 years.

I continue to homestead with a variety of livestock including Minnie the cow that Ken bought me before he died. Since childhood I have enjoyed a peace and closeness to God being surrounded by his glorious creation.

My strong Christian faith shapes every aspect of my homestead life. I aim to inspire others to nurture their spiritual journeys too.

A Love Story

My marriage taught me about love, sacrifice, and enduring faith. Although my husband passed, his memory remains alive in my heart and writings.

I launched my book Transformed By His Love  in April of 2026. What started as writing poetry turned into a loving testimony of our lives, marriage and transformation of a loving God, in all things.
